I will welcome both experienced players as well as newbies into my venue. So don't be afraid cause I'm not one to bite. As a general rule I prefer character creation to be completed using only the Revised Core manual but I will also accept items from supplement books as well. Please note that if you are using a supplement that I require Book, Page # and a brief explaination of what it does. I will also reserve the right to say no to anything that is not already explicitly stated in my venue information.

There will likely be many occasions when I will of course make exceptions for those who can give me a good enough reason for something. Please remember that it is MY definition of "good enough" that will be used. Negotiations are always available, but I tend to stick with my answers.

As a notice to experienced mage players, I have a tendancy to run with ideas that are not in and sometimes contradictory to the book(s). Please remember that I will be strongly enforcing the Golden Rule when it comes to running scenes and other storyline related matters. Rest assured, that I am only going to apply the Golden Rule to the IC action and that I am constantly updating my House Rules to make clear exactly what mechanics are being modified.

--= The Basics=--
1) One of my biggest requirements for playing a mage is the ability to role play, and the willingness to cooperate in group activities.

2) Character concepts need to make sense in the Hollow Dreams setting. Also well balanced characters have a greater chance of getting sanctioned w/o many questions. Mind you correct points also helps.

3) I highly recommend that players get thier character concepts approved by me BEFORE making the character sheet. It is also always helpful to have paper copies. Many mistakes can be caught by writing stuff out first.

4) While I do not require background stories they are helpful in building scenes that are interesting to player and character alike. Those with good backgrounds may petition for bonus experience points. Please keep to less than 10 pages long.

5) To show some competency with Mage: The Ascension I do require a brief description of the characters paradigm. Please don't make this more than a page. A few paragraphs will do.

6) Secondary abilities will cost 1 point, and can be purchased at a 1:1 ratio in freebies. Influence will cost the same as secondaries and must be approved by the ST(s) who control those influences.

7) In light of having people lose character sheets to the Timeout I'd like to reommend the following solutions. a: Write out your character on a sheet of paper to save time. And b: Put down only a few traits and then submit the character. You can then go back in and edit the character until it is pre/sacntioned. Either way, you'll be able to save yourself from a headache of re-submission.

8)As a final matter starting Lore is equal to Arete, and can be divided bewteen Mage, and [Tradition] any way that you see fit. Players are also allowed to take a maxiumum of 5 rotes at creation. Please see Scenes & House Rules


--= Point Restrictions =--

• The Revised edition Core book is to be used for the bulk of character creation. Exceptions can be made. PM for details.
• Sorcerers/Psychics use the REVISED Sorcery book (WW4254). I'm not AS good with this one but I'll still take a few ;)
• Rank 5's are not allowed.
• 4's should be kept to a minimum, and can ONLY be purchased with freebie points.
• No more than 7 points of Merit's and no more than 7 points of Flaws can be taken.
• Rank 3 in Arcane must be accompanied by a reason for it.
